We have some beautiful Ruby Red Basil or Purple Basil, growing in our garden this summer. At first I had no idea what to do with it, however I started experimenting and it turns out that the Ruby Basil is extremely versatile! The first recipe on my list…a delicious and refreshing iced tea to enjoy while gardening! Enjoy!
First- steep a pot of your favorite green tea. We use Stash green tea in our house because we find the flavor and color to be beautiful.
Then- take a few Ruby Red basil leaves, and fresh strawberries and muddle them into the bottom of your serving vessel.
Fill your cup with ice.
Pour the green tea over the basil, strawberries and ice.

I personally suffer from back pain from having scoliosis and have found over the years that the quality of the mattress I sleep on impacts how my back feels the next day. I can always tell when an Airbnb or a hotel we stay at needs to upgrade their setup based on how my back feels the next day.
Living in cold and snowy Buffalo, NY can be a little challenging in the winter months. The limited sunlight, constant snow and ice storms and freezing temps are enough to make the happiest and balanced people feel like they need a pick-me-up from time to time.
If you have thin hair, then you can probably relate to most of my struggles. My hair gets greasy quickly, falls flat and gets tangled as soon as I stop brushing it. I used to think that I was just unlucky and would have ugly trunchbull crappy hair my whole life. But then I started making adult wages and learned that you can’t buy crappy and cheap hair products and expect to have beautiful celebrity quality hair. Unless you have some amazing genes and are extremely lucky you can’t be using suave and herbal essences and thinking your hair is going to look like Lauren Conrads. It just doesn’t happen. Thus my journey began with investing in higher quality hair products. And boy- does it make a difference!
